Hello Friends, Thank you for checking in to see what I’m loving this week! But, before I get into that let’s talk about how the week went. All in all it was pretty good except one hiccup…Tuesday. Tuesday was just a rough day. It was just one of those days that I felt like I was sucking at life and I couldn’t handle anything well. Thankfully after a good cry, prayer and talking with Aaron I snapped back.
Sometimes all you need is a good vent session. The rest of the week went very smoothly and it was easy to come up with things that I’m loving.
Like always I’d love to hear what you are loving, so drop a sister some love in the comments!
- Hiking
Hiking with Foster is for sure something I’m loving this week but I’ve pretty much enjoyed it since he was a couple months old. I chose this week specifically because since Spring has sprung it makes our hikes so much more enjoyable. The weather has been right in the sweet spot most days this week..not too hot and not too cold!
Foster loves being outdoors about as much as I do so hiking is definitely one of our happy places. It’s a great way to slow down, breathe (heavily breathing going up the huge hill) and enjoy the moment together.
An added bonus is that my mom often meets us and Foster is always thrilled to see his Grammy, as am I!
- Toddler Rock
**I didn’t have time to take a pic since I was following Foster around everywhere**
Toddler Rock is a fun little singing/playing time for kids infant to five. It was held at Church of the City in Spring Hill, but I’m pretty sure it’s also held at all of their locations.
I have to be honest this was totally out of my comfort zone and took me about two months to work up the courage to go. There are two reasons as to why this was so hard for me.
- It was at a church and I haven’t been in a church for a while due to some personal stuff.
- I did not know anyone and was afraid everyone else was going to know each other.
But, I’m happy to report that Foster had a great time and …I think I met a mom friend and Lord knows I need some!
This balloon just makes my heart smile. I found it on ElizabethDooDah’s Etsy shop. I bought a couple to use as decoration for Foster’s one year old birthday coming up…in less than a month!!!!
My theme is “You are My Sunshine” so these balloons will compliment all my other decor perfectly! I can’t wait to everything come together. Thankfully my sister is helping me because she is way better at everything crafty that I am. Don’t worry… I’ll be sure to share pics.
- Banana Oatmeal Blender Muffins
These have been fast and healthy option for Foster’s breakfast or snack! They are soft and the perfect size for him to feed himself without my help. I like that there are simple ingredient and they’re super easy to make. I found them on a blog I follow Peanut Butter Fingers. The recipes is below:
Makes 9 muffins
Ingredients
2 very ripe bananas
3/4 cup old fashioned oatmeal
1 egg
1/4 cup breastmilk or formula
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Blend all ingredients in a high powdered blender
Spray a silicone muffin pan with cooking spray or coat lightly with coconut oil
Pour muffin batter into muffin pan
Place silicone muffin pan onto a baking sheet and bake for 10 – 12 minutes
Allow to cool completely before serving to baby
Store extra muffins in an air-tight container in the refrigerator or freeze for future use
Oh. My. Goodness! My mother-in-law bought this Copper Chef for me this week (thank you Nancy!) and let me just say I’m in love!! Nothing sticks! So, that means better food and easier clean ups. Before having this every time I would fix eggs I would lose have of them since they’d end up stuck to the pan. Not with the Copper Chef, guys…there’s no sticking at all. It’s seriously changed my life and makes me want to experiment with different foods all day. If you need me I’ll just be frying another egg.
I hope everyone has a great weekend and that you are having plenty of things to love!!
