We just finished a six day staycation and honestly it was good for our souls. I’m not even trying to be hokey. It’s just true. Life can be crazy with everyday responsibilities and it can be easy to start going through the motions and not really noticing the other person. Our staycation gave us time to slow down, reconnect as a family and be inspired.
Inspiration is exactly what happened to Aaron and I after we did an at home workout by Jillian Michaels. Ya’ll, it’s no joke! That women didn’t become famous by accident. She knows her stuff and will make you sweat.
Well, after we completed it together we felt motivated to do something else. We decided we needed something to challenge us physically and encourage us to be better versions of ourselves for each other and Foster. Plus it’s good to have a common goal you are doing together.
Here’s what we came up with. For the next 30 days, starting today (we did the video on Monday). We will be doing the Whole 30…again. To be honest we completed it once successfully and have tried again three times since then and stopped after the first week…oops! But, when we did it we loved it! It left us feeling healthy, energetic and confident. It’s just hard to not eat exactly what you want when you want it.
In addition to Whole 30, we’ll also update you on different at home workouts we decide to do including Julian Michaels, YouTube and Pinterest workouts. The goal is to keep it inexpensive and convenient.
We’re hoping our videos serve as an inspiration/amusement to others and accountability for us. So, join us for the ride.
We plan to do an update video once a week and I’ll post it on my blog every Thursday starting next week.
